…inspirational and other…!

I love collecting good quotes! I find them inspirational, funny and encouraging – depending on the author.

Below are some of the ones I love:

  • Your supreme priority is not what you do for Jesus, but to be like him.  (Wesley L. Duewel)
  • It is not great talent God blesses so much as great likeness to Jesus.  (Robert Murray M’Cheyne)
  • The strength of moral character is derived and conserved by the refusing of the unimportant.    (J. Oswald Sanders)
  • …our true aim must not be to work much, and to have prayer enough to keep the work right, but to pray much and then to work enough for the power and blessing obtained in prayer to find it’s way through us to men.  (Andrew Murray)
  • “Mountaintops inspire leaders but valleys mature them.” (Winston Churchill)
  • “When you look at the past without God’s eyes, you subject yourself to deception. The past no longer exists and God doesn’t linger there. However, Satan will show you whatever you want to see and believe, so you will be trapped in an emotion that cannot communicate truth, beyond what you want to remember.”
    ― Shannon L. Alder
  •  “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” – Winston Churchill
